During the pre-match press conference before playing Slavia Prague, Youri Tielemans said Leicester City is a perfect environment for winning trophies.

Brendan Rodgers always takes a different, usually important, first team player with him to his Europa League pressers. This time the Belgian star had his moment in the spotlight – and didn’t the mature 23-year-old do well?!

If you haven’t heard Tielemans talk before, well he’s a breath of fresh air comparatively to some sportspeople out there, with all due respect. James Maddison was another who impressed recently in interviews. Whereas Maddison intelligently conducts a particularly revealing chat, the Tielemans experience is more of an intellectual insight into football mechanics.

Thankfully Tielemans is happy at Leicester and believes the club can lift trophies:

"“This club has the best environment that you can have.“It’s brilliant to be here. It’s a perfect environment to win trophies. You can’t predict the future, but everything around the club is set up for it.”– Youri TielemansVia BBC Sport"

Gary Neville on Leicester City

Widely admired pundit and former-Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville talked about the Foxes recently, in addition to offering some advice to the squad. Neville won everything at club level as well as ‘managing’ for a brief, unsuccessful spell so his experience is useful information.

First of all, Neville says Leicester’s hopes of Champions League qualification likely hinges on the east Midlanders having a fit roster. Yet injuries have already decimated many clubs in the Premier League, such as LCFC.

Furthermore, the ex-England man believes Rodgers’ side should prioritise the previously mentioned aspiration as opposed to possible UEL glory. But Neville isn’t sure that a repeat of last season’s disastrous run-in won’t happen again.
