Encouragingly for Leicester City, the Foxes have received a significant injury boost before playing Burnley as Wesley Fofana may be available.

Fofana, along with the injured James Justin, must be Leicester’s shouts for Young Player of the Year this season. Could you separate them?

Yes, the Englishman had played slightly more, but the Frenchman was in his first campaign in at a new club and a different country! When everyone, or most players are not sidelined, this is a wonderful squad that can challenge for honours.

Anyway, the reason I mention Fofana is that he is back training a little bit ahead of schedule and therefore could be in line to play against Burnley on Wednesday evening. If not, the centre-back should therefore be ready for selection for the subsequent game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, 6 March.

Below is a quote from manager Brendan Rodgers:

"“We’ll have a look at that, he [Fofana] trained with the group on Monday. It’s just about weighing up the risk really.“He’s obviously been out for a period of time with his hamstring so we’ll assess it. He looked fantastic in training on Monday.”– Brendan RodgersVia Leicestershire Live"

Additionally, Perez is another unavailable Fox that’s back on the practice field. Though the Spaniard will not be included in the team for either of the two upcoming Leicester City fixtures.

Meanwhile, Harvey Barnes has had to have surgery after a knee injury versus Arsenal on Sunday. Barnes reportedly sustained a cartilage problem, with a piece of bone chipping away. I too had an operation for this exact same issue and can assure you that I was back playing quite quickly. And, obviously, I was not as fit as the England international in my youth so hopefully he’ll return even faster for the season’s run-in.
