Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has provided injury news on three Foxes stars: Dennis Praet, Ayoze Perez and Jonny Evans.

Hopefully the entire Leicester squad has had a well-earned rest in this past seven days; one of their only absent weeks in recent times due to a condensed campaign and Europa League commitments. Even the less important members of the roster may be called upon in the remaining Premier League fixtures so fitness is now crucial.

In a boost for the east Midlands side, there is a trio who’ll likely be available and welcomed back for the upcoming clash versus Sheffield United on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Foxes’ hopes of Champions League qualification this season, there’s been a mountain of injury issues to consider.

A collective of eight regular first team personnel have been sidelined of late: James Maddison with a hip problem; James Justin’s ACL means he’s out long-term; Wes Morgan’s back isn’t right presently; Cengiz Under has a thigh problem; whilst Harvey Barnes underwent successful knee surgery.

Leicester City boss talks

Meanwhile Perez, Evans and Praet are all back in full training according to Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers. The manager confirmed his fellow countryman and centre-back as fit for the Blades contest on March 14, too. And, optimistically, Rodgers also expects the Spaniard and Belgian to be ready for the match.

This is what the gaffer said:

"“We’ve got really good news with Jonny Evans back and he will be available. Dennis Praet has been training this week as well, so he should be available, and Ayoze Perez”– Brendan RodgersVia lcfc.com"

Having a No.10/attacker as Perez back is more significant than some fans or pundits would credit – with so many injuries, it is a great bonus. Praet’s versatility and forward-thinking from midfield is an obvious asset with an abundance of defensive-minded midfielders.
