Leicester face significant competition for two transfer targets
Leicester City will apparently face some competition for two of their top summer transfer targets. What’s the latest on Odsonne Edouard and Mattias Svanberg?
You can pretty much guarantee another striker will be signed by the Foxes in the summer. Well, that was what I said last week, since then Kelechi Iheanacho has scored a hat-trick.
If the Nigerian continues in anything like the vein of form that he and his team are currently enjoying, then don’t be surprised if a central attacker isn’t signed in the off-season. That’s because the squad will consequently contain an experienced, wise and still deadly Jamie Vardy, along with a Premier League-capable Iheanacho.
And, after a good few years at the club, the aforementioned pair will now finally be played as a starting duo for a prolonged period, as Foxes of Leicester sees it.
Leicester City face competition for two targets
Transfer rumours now, as Leicester-linked targets are apparently being monitored by other clubs. First of all, Edouard is said to be wanted by AC Milan, which could be major blow to the King Power side:
"AC Milan are keeping an eye on Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard as they look to a future beyond Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Mandzukic.By Sean Lunt of Sport Witness"
Furthermore, Svanberg supposedly has Southampton for admirers:

Elsewhere in the LCFC squad, Marc Albrighton has achieved a notable feat: he’s overtaken Premier League legend Kanu – formerly of Arsenal and Portsmouth fame – in the English top-flight’s all-time assists as a substitute chart.
Now there are only ex Manchester United star Ryan Giggs, and current Saints winger Theo Walcott in front of the Birmingham-born player. Albrighton has provided 13 goals for team-mates over the years whilst appearing in matches from the bench.
