This is the formation and personnel Foxes of Leicester believes Brendan Rodgers will use as his Leicester City line-up when James Maddison returns to the side.

The one positive thing I can think of for devotees of domestic football, such as ourselves, during the international football break – apart from our best squad members showing form and raising their profiles – is the fact that there is time to assess and reassess the starting line-up. Along with discussing any other issues the side may have presently.

Yet the Foxes are playing Wonderfully at the moment, even without attacking options who can make the difference in matches: Harvey Barnes, ‘Madders’ and Cengiz Under, for example. If you had said those three would be sidelined for the recent games and Rodgers would experiment with a past tried system with Ayoze Perez and Kelechi Iheanacho filling in effectively in for the missing trio and a misfiring Jamie Vardy – I’d have replied “yeah, how effective will they be?!”

I’m always happy to be proven wrong by an over-performing Fox – or two, in this case. Iheanacho managed seven goal involvements in three outings; a hat-trick against Sheffield United then his display versus Manchester United making him a household name. Though the Spaniard may not be able to hold onto his place in the starting eleven for much longer.

How Leicester City will line-up when James Maddison returns

According to lcfc.com, James Maddison will make his comeback for the east Midlands outfit after the World Cup qualifiers. While the playmaker probably won’t begin the Manchester City clash due to fitness, he will, however, most likely start versus West Ham United.

Perez will probably drop to the bench as soon as Maddison is deemed ready; that is, unless the former Newcastle United man puts in an Iheanacho-like performance versus the Citizens. Expect the 3-4-1-2 to remain for those fixtures.
