The Leicester City manager was recently a guest on The Robbie Fowler Podcast. On there, Rodgers revealed their transfer strategies for the summer.

The Northern Irishman traced out the philosophy of the club’s recruitment mentality. He made it clear that the club believes in young players with potential who are hungry enough to make their name on the stage of world football.

Leicester City’s transfer window mentality-

Foxes manager Rodgers cited the limitations of the club’s finances stating that LCFC is not yet a club that can look into players with substantially higher price ranges. The club can attain a lot of good signings around the range of £30million. He then praised the outfit’s balance between economics and on-pitch performance.

"“For us, what’s clear from a recruitment perspective is we’re in a market where we know we can’t move too far out of. We’ll get a player up to around £30million. If someone comes up in the market at £60m, £70m, we can’t get them. But still, for that, you can get really good players. And they’re normally going to be younger players.”– Brendan RodgersRobbie Fowler Podcast"

Furthermore, the gaffer used the examples like Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans to emphasize the effectiveness of the King Power side’s meticulous recruitment strategies. Both of those players have given standout performances this season.

"“You think Wesley Fofana, Youri Tielemans, these are very good young and you can hopefully make them better. They start to grow and develop. That’s the idea. You have a fighting chance of getting in good players then it’s always going to be about your collective. You can collectively work, bring in a style that allows those players and profiles to flourish. You also need to have a spirit.”– Rodgers"

In addition, the boss said he felt very content because there aren’t a lot of decision-makers in his squad. So it makes the task at hand much less complicated, and things get done quickly with no pipeline delay.

"“Like any club, that spirit needs to be strong if you’re going to succeed. I’m very fortunate here that the balance between the economics of the club – which is very, very well run – and the performance on the pitch which is up to me. And there’s a very small team of decision makers here that allows us to make the right decisions going forward. All in all, there’s a great combination here.”– Rodgers, via Leicester Mercury."

The club will be selling a few redundant players in the upcoming summer transfer window. The East Midlanders will positively gather some extra funds through sales to make a few moves around that £30million mark. We can at least expect LCFC to acquire two good-quality players around that price range to reinforce the roster’s depth.
