Leicester claim: Man United to enter talks for Foxes star
Manchester United are to apparently enter transfer talks with Leicester City star defender Caglar Soyuncu as the Red Devils aim to sign the Turkey international.
The Turkish tough guy, who has just turned 25, is said to be a wanted man. Manchester United still have quite some draw, if they ever lost it. And their appeal is steadily increasing again thanks to better Premier League finishes and quality signings such as Bruno Fernandes.
However, Leicester are under no pressure to sell any player. And that statement you can take the bank; as chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha said ‘LCFC are in a position of strength’. I believe you can apply that assertion to all aspects of the club: training complex, squad, manager/staff, fans, stadium expansion, and presumably funding.
Nevertheless, Man United normally get their man, and they are reportedly primed to enter talks to sign Soyuncu:
"Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur has claimed United are primed to enter talks with Leicester over a deal for Soyuncu:“Talks with Leicester City are scheduled to take place soon.” – KonurVia Express"
Leicester City part exchange insult to Foxes fans
So, Express Sport had a suggestion for Arsenal and their recruitment department recently, due to the Gunners supposedly making James Maddison their top transfer target for this summer‘s window: a part exchange involving Joe Willock plus £30 million. Unfortunately the recommendation was met with derision and, strangely, indignation from a few Foxes fans.
Yet some of the more measured supporters noticed that an agreement would be more favourable and possibly struck at £50m+ the Gunner; I would hypothetically accept that bid, if it transpired.
There is no speculation that any deal of this kind is on the table at present; though Willock is a superb up-and-coming talent. Meanwhile Maddison has had some rather unfortunate injury issues and another self-inflicted problem or two, despite being an clearly special player.
