Leicester should consider signing this available star

West Ham tried to sign Lingard permanently – being quoted £25m – but Lingard wanted to stay in Manchester and fight for his place. So far in the Premier League, Lingard has made 3 appearances and has scored 2 goals. He also impressed in September playing for England against Andorra, scoring 2 goals.
It isn’t all plain sailing weather for Lingard though, the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and the form of the imperious Mason Greenwood has meant that Lingard still can’t cement a place in United’s starting line-up. Perhaps this is why Lingard hasn’t signed a new deal with his boyhood club and his contract is expiring in the summer.
This is where Leicester City come in to play. Due to his contract situation, the Mirror are reporting that United are looking for a fee of £15m for Lingard, which is an absolute steal for the 28-year-old.
A good deal for Leicester City?
Quite simply, yes. Bringing Lingard back to Leicester – let’s not forget that Lingard made 5 appearances for the Foxes during an unsuccessful loan spell at the club in 2012/13 – for only £15m is an absolute steal. If the club wanted to add another dimension of attack to their squad, then Lingard is a proven asset.
He plays his football across the front-line. Traditionally, he is a right-winger who can play on the left, but we’ve also seen Lingard utilised as a CAM an even as a false 9 whilst he was at West Ham. In short, he offers serious versatility and is as strong in every one of those positions.
