Leicester, Newcastle, Tottenham vie for defender transfer
According to a report emanating from Spain, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur will vie for a much-wanted defensive transfer.
In the Premier League alone, Leicester have conceded 15 goals in just nine matches; that almost gives the east Midlands club a total of allowing two for their opponents in each and every game. With the Foxes’ lofty ambitions, that average is unacceptable.
Brendan Rodgers has made his intentions clear for the team: yearly qualifying for Europe through as high as possible league finishes. Preferably the side would compete in the Champions League, yet that wish was obviously not granted following two ridiculously disappointing ends to seasons of 2019/20 along with 2020/21.
One way in which the King power outfit can prepare better for similar scenarios or improve their chances of succeeding in their ambitious ambitions is to acquire new, more efficient and proficient elite players. And LCFC have promptly been linked to a strong and fast Ghanaian – remind you of anyone?!
Obviously Dan Amartey is doing wonderfully at the moment and would be able to help a compatriot assimilate more easily in Leicestershire. The man in question is Vitoria Guimaraes defender Abdul Mumin. Mumin is not an international as of now, but his profile and champions certainly indicate that accolade and development is imminent.
"Leicester City are interested in the signing of Vitória Guimarães defender Abdul Mumin, according to today’s reports from the Portuguese media.Newspaper A Bola features a story claiming the 23-year-old has been ‘impressing the scouts from the Premier League’, and officials from the Foxes are among them. It’s reported the Leicester City have recently been watching the player to ‘study’ the chances of going for his signing in the future.Via Sport Witness"
