The two clubs that are most interested in signing Youri Tielemans
By Will Kennedy
As the weeks go on, the transfer saga between Leicester City and Youri Tielemans heats up, with the Belgian’s contract set to expire next summer. Whilst, in the summer, it was looking positive that Tielemans would pen a new deal at the club, his future in the East Midlands is now uncertain, peaking the interests of many clubs around the continent.
Since making his debut for the Foxes, Tielemans has made over 133 appearances – 104 of those in the Premier League – and has scored 23 goals, including one of the most memorable strikes in the club’s history. His aforementioned FA Cup heroics, as well as his track record of scoring long-range stunners, has made the No.8 a true fan favourite, and one of the most talented players to ever wear the Leicester blue.
His performances have inevitably attracted the interest of several European giants, and his expiring contract has made it a real possibility that this is the last season that Tielemans will play for the Foxes. I am personally of the opinion that Leicester would be much wiser to sell this summer and make as much profit on the Belgian as they can, rather than have him play another year at King Power and then lose him on a free.
