Lookman isn’t an out and out goal scorer, but Leicester didn’t sign him to be that. Lookman’s effective contributions have come from his mazy dribbling, drawing defenders out of space. However, it’s clear that, as his confidence builds, as does his goal tally.

What Lookman could now do with is stability in his footballing life. At Everton he was never a first-team starter, after a good loan spell at Leipzig, he eventually found himself unwanted after signing permanently, and, at Fulham, he was caught up in eventual relegation. At Leicester though, he feels both wanted and happy with his football.

From observing Lookman’s social media, he seems to be really enjoying his time at Seagrave, feeling right at home; suggesting at him wanting to stay longer than just a loan.

This leads onto the important question of if Leicester City will permanently sign the winger. This week, Christopher Vivell – RB Leipzig’s technical director – spoke to the media revealing that Leicester and Leipzig currently have had ‘no contact’ over the future of Lookman.

Whilst this could be concerning for those who want to see the attacker stay at the club, in January Brendan Rodgers revealed that whilst Lookman’s future is being talked about, they won’t rush talks:

"“He’s a player I’ve loved working with and he’s improving and developing all of the time. I can see the improvement in his personality. He has everything, he’s quick, he’s two-footed, he presses the game well, he’s a great dribbler, he’s scoring, he’s creating goals.” “He’s just a fantastic football player who still has so much development to make. I’ve been delighted with his contribution. And moving into the second half of the season, that [a permanent deal] will be something we will sit down and look at.” Brendan Rodgers via the Leicester Mercury"
