With the emergence of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and the rampant form of James Maddison, selling the Belgian for a cutthroat fee may not be too harmful to the Foxes. Furthermore, it could lead to Leicester reinvesting their money into shrewd signings like Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy, in previous years.

I think it would be in the best interest of the club and the fans that Tielemans is sold to a non-English side. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to deter any of the Big Six from offering a fee that we cannot refuse. Hopefully, the Belgian follows his dream and plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, in Real Madrid. He’s undoubtedly a talented player and whichever club attains his signature in the summer would be lucky to sign him.

Ideally, then King Power outfit would be the kind of club that Tielemans stays at long term. With the Foxes stumbling at the last hurdle to qualify for the Champions League in the previous two campaigns, it will make even more difficult to see him leave. Even so, with the likes of the new £100m training ground, Leicestershire is a great destination for young talent looking for further development.
