It's Halloween tomorrow but things are already getting scary at King Power Stadium, I'm afraid. Get it? Doh! Leicester City head coach Marti Cifuentes and his team appeared to have turned a necessary corner upon defeating Swansea City. Draws transformed into a fine victory on the Foxes' travels.
Over the international break, the LCFC fan base dreamt of further victories when the Championship restarted once again. Although a sloppy home draw against Portsmouth transpired following the hiatus. Unfortunately it got worse for City thanks to some of their so-called lazy bones footballers!
Two successive losses materialised against Hull City and Millwall; both are beatable sides for a club of Leicester's stature and squad quality. However, some of the East Midlands team's stars aren't pulling their individual weights. I've nominated five senior stars who have given me a fright this season. Here is a trio of City players walking a thin tightrope to the January transfer window.
Leicester City players standing out for the wrong reasons could be up for sale or loaned soon
Oliver Skipp
Leicester require funds if they are to invest or temporarily hire fresh personnel in the New Year. Due to the Foxes' financial and Profit and Sustainability issues, even loans could be difficult.
Yet, according to various reports as well as the English Football League website, the LE2 outfit are not yet under restrictions. Former Tottenham Hotspur man Skipp is the ideal candidate to sell in order to buy. End of.
Victor Kristiansen
Kristiansen arrived on Filbert Way with high hopes. The Dane definitely didn't fulfil those expectations. He was previously loaned and then given further opportunity at Leicester.
The left back has proven himself worthy of selling after being supplanted by Luke Thomas! Kristiansen has reported admirers too. Nottingham Forest were the most recently linked club; Roma, Sunderland, Everton have previously been connected with respective interest.
Patson Daka
The perfect scenario for LCFC fans in January is to sell one or two players (or even to get rid of more deadwood) and to sign a viable striker. We can only dream that Daka could be one of those who eventually raises money.
That's if the Zambia National Team centre forward has retained any value whatsoever. Obviously the whole footballing world knows that the ex-FC Liefering and Red Bull Salzburg man failed in England's two foremost divisions. It's nothing personal, big Pat - we're just desperate for a true goalscorer to finish carved out (I got your pumpkin pun in!) chances.
