We have a pretty incredible Leicester City-related story to bring to the Blue Army fan base's attention on this Thursday, September afternoon. The piece concerns players and a head coach who are no longer on Filbert Way, though the significance is there. Thanks to a latest signing this week, six former Foxes, of varying degrees of standing, are all currently at the same National League club.
In addition to that fact, the sextet are joined by an ex-LCFC coach as well. Survival is the key, which is probably why the outfit's ownership and recruitment people decided to look at former top tier and second tier athletes and prospects. The team in question: Morecambe. The new manager tasked with ensuring English Football League survival: Leicester-born Ashvir Singh Johal. But who are the once King Power footballers Singh Johal has chosen to join him? Connections and quality are there, can they realise their aim?

This was a peculiar but thoroughly entertaining and partially exciting matter to cover. It appears that Singh Johal is building a 'Little Leicester' in the Lancashire, seaside town.

As I say, the Shrimps are a coastal side. Obviously they are so named due to the fishing industry. And their present team boss (the youngest in the top five divisions at age 30) only needs to add five more one-time LCFC employees to have a full XI.
So, which players are at Morecambe? First of all, the new signing: Arjan Raikhy. The former Leicester Academy staff member presumably chose Raikhy because he featured for the LCFC seniors on a few occasions.
"Those include centre-back Alie Sesay, who spent four years with the club before leaving in 2016.
He’s returned to English football after eight years away to join Morecambe, having represented clubs in Sweden, Greece, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Vietnam in the meantime."
Then we have Alie Sesay and George Thomas. Next are a couple of names you'll recall: Harry Panayiotou and Admiral Muskwe. Finally Josh Eppiah is also a Shrimp.
"Fellow striker Josh Eppiah also came up through the ranks at City but did not make a first-team appearance. He’s signed for the Shrimps after spending time in Brazil."
