It's fair to say, in spite of being sacked by Glasgow side Celtic up in Scotland, that Brendan Rodgers has taken many headlines in English sports news. Why are the Northern Irishman's antics and what may be next for him such massive talking points in England?
Well, first of all Rodgers managed several current and former top flight teams here: Liverpool, Leicester City and Swansea City. As a matter of fact, the 52-year-old almost won the Premier League with the Reds of Anfield. Not to mention guiding the Foxes to an initial FA Cup trophy.
Clearly LCFC's Blue Army fan base will always fondly remember Rodgers for that truly significant moment in our history. However, many of us also recall the unnecessary bullheadedness and reluctance to address his own shortcomings amid ridiculously illuminating evidence on the pitch.
To that end, supporters of the King Power club have been surveyed online and on social media in order to gauge their temperament over a hypothetical return for Rodgers. At the moment, there are no rumours connecting the ex-City gaffer with a comeback on Filbert Way. Although - nothing is impossible at Leicester! Let's see what's being said and claimed in LE2.
Some Leicester City fans are open to a Brendan Rodgers return - while others consider him 'a big part of the mess the Foxes are in'
I'll now embed a few replies to a tweet about a possible Rodgers comeback. My own reactions will be underneath:
Not a chance - he’s a big reason for the mess we’re in

OK, I completely understand where Jack is coming from. Yet Rodgers ultimately wasn't backed in the transfer market during the summer before his exit. Though, other strange elements and practices did remain at KPS.
Yes one million percent. Proven to be a great manager but needs backing

Kiran alludes to my aforementioned point here. As you can see, the faithful are divided.
No way, unless we truly want to go bankrupt.

Nonetheless, the general consensus is overwhelmingly unsupportive in my view. I'll also reiterate that Rodgers is unlikely to consider a Championship outfit.
