Unfortunately we are in the midst of one of the dreaded and frustrating early season international hiatuses. I outline this situation negatively because I believe Marti Cifuentes and his Leicester City team were just beginning to gather momentum. Though I wouldn't surmise that the Catalan is on the verge or creating something great or overly impressive.

Nonetheless, slight progress and evolution was, in my opinion, mainly due to the City gaffer discovering the majority of his most suitable starting lineup. Not to mention the Foxes reverting back to winning at a difficult away ground in Swansea.com Stadium. So for the run - which is hopefully only just beginning - to be interrupted by a needless National Team friendly is annoying.

However, England and many other global sides also have crucial World Cup Qualifiers as well. The Three Lions travel to Latvia for a competitive fixture at Daugava Stadium in Riga. That's after Thomas Tuchel's men have met Jordan James' Wales in a non-competitive match at Wembley Stadium. But which other Foxes are involved with their countries? Here is a Leicester City international player round-up, along with a look at games ahead.

Leicester City international players in action

Seven LCFC stars were called up by their nations: Abdul Fatawu, Hamza Choudhury, Jannik Vestergaard, Jordan Ayew, James and Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Patson Daka. Meanwhile some young Foxes are involved as well: Jeremy Monga, Louis Page, Olabade Aluko, Chris Popov and Ryan Donnelly.

Jordan Ayew was the Ghanaians' match-winner as they beat Central African Republic. Abdul Fatawu was included too. In the meantime Patson Daka's Zambia defeated Tanzania.

Schedule to come

Fatawu, Ayew and Ghana still have Comoros to play. Daka will likely feature versus Niger too.

Hamza Choudhury will probably lead Bangladesh in two meetings with Hong Kong. James plays England on Thursday and then Belgium on Monday.

"We will be well represented on the international stage this coming week as several Foxes head off to represent their countries during the October break."
