Just as Leicester City supporters feel as if a necessary U-turn has been made or a corner has been turned - the situation seems to immediately worsen again. First of all, the Foxes fans are pleased, on the whole, that Marti Cifuentes has been sacked. Although, some of the more measured LCFC loyalists among the Blue Army are worried that the next head coach to emerge could be even less successful, or worse, than the former Queens Park Rangers man himself. 'Better the devil you know?' - probably not.

That would be some feat! Though in all seriousness, in spite of his own problems and mistakes, Cifuentes was not as bad as some observers pretend. Yes, he made a few questionable managerial choices and selections. But the squad he oversaw is almost rotten to the core to many. They are certainly overpaid and immensely underperforming professionals, indeed.

Yet the scenario on Filbert Way could absolutely deteriorate further, unfortunately. For instance, the supposed nine or even 12 point deduction would derail any hope of promotion back to the Premier League big time. As a matter of fact, that eventuality would put the East Midlands side directly into a dogfight of a relegation battle. Equally worrying is speculation that once Southampton underachiever and unwanted Rangers gaffer Russell Martin could lead us to English Football League One.

Whoever does eventually take charge at King Power Stadium has a mammoth task in front of them. Not to mention that the next boss at Leicester probably won't be able to rely on any reinforcements.

BBC Sport claim Leicester City will not make any transfers this winter - even loans

City are already apparently missing out on much-needed striker targets. Neither Joe Piroe nor Ibrahim Diabate will be coming to LE2, according to reports. Furthermore, BBC suggest nobody will join the Leicestershire outfit whatsoever during this transfer window:

"They [LCFC] could get anything from six to 10 points taken off them and, if it's the latter, they will be in trouble and in a real relegation fight.

Add in the fact they are unlikely to bring in any new faces in January, and there is a real recipe for trouble brewing at the King Power Stadium."
