Leicester City do have a rather large squad this season, but it may not perhaps be the finished article for the second part of the season. You see, Foxes manager Marti Cifuentes was not able to get rid of the exact players he wanted. Whether City's recruitment department actually obtained the appropriate loan signings he wanted is another aspect up for debate as well.

Reports state that the East Midlands outfit remain interested in quite a few players of varying degrees of quality, reputation and of differing positions on the pitch. Certain individuals LCFC are apparently monitoring have even been named by their own organisations following basic approaches. Jacob Murphy of Portsmouth is one of those mentioned as having the King Power club as admirers by his own superior.

When it comes to the goalkeeping section of the roster, I'd say Leicester are definitely set up correctly. The goalkeepers feel adequate, at least with the Championship in mind. Upon returning to the Premier League, if that aim is eventually realised, City will need to drastically strengthen in my view. Jakub Stolarczyk, Fran Vieites and veteran Asmir Begovic complete the senior trio.

But Stolarczyk will consider himself an English top flight-level stopper, I'm sure. Nevertheless, this Championship expert expects Leicester to make a significant addition for the role in January. Which 'keeper are the Leicestershire outfit said to be seeking to sign?

Now that Trafford is fully out of the Manchester City starting lineup without any chance of supplanting Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Englishman will seek playing time. That will mean leaving temporarily or permanently.

Enter Leicester into the conversation. Trafford was wonderful for Burnley in the last campaign in the second division. Therefore Don Goodman believes the goalie coming to LE2 would suit everyone, apart from Stolarczyk:

"For Leicester, it’s not obvious that they need him [Trafford] with Stolarczyk starting well. But if they did get Trafford, it would be a big coup. But obviously, if you are Stolarczyk, then it is disappointing."
