New Leicester City boss Marti Cifuentes has possibly altered a Foxes player's next career move already. The Fox was meant to be leaving this summer. Is he now a part of the Catalan's plans for the upcoming season? And Leicester have received a transfer update from the main man himself. But what did famed talian reporter Fabrizio Romano say about the East Midlanders?

The backstory

Latest City head coach Marti Cifuentes has seemingly ordered a supposedly exiting Foxes star to do a u-turn. This defender's future has been speculated on in the news for a while now. And the coverage was mainly negative from a Blue Army perspective. The centre back asked to leave in January, upon the first interest in him from a mediocre former team.

The LCFC fan base mostly considered this a vain attempt to jump ship. There were other negative incidents; the player in question has reportedly told anyone who'd listen that he wishes to leave, rather disrespectfully to LCFC. And he has chosen another fairly unchallenging place to play, if we trust various national media claims on the matter.

Thankfully we now have some clarity on exactly what is happening there. The available information and speculation enables us to paint a picture. And, unfortunately, it appears that this unnamed (for now), overrated and overpaid footballer will be staying at King Power Stadium.

In addition to that, we have more. What's the information via Romano?

Asmir Begovic in talks

LCFC want a new backup goalkeeper. Will that be Begovic? Yes, according to the super-journalist:

Conor Coady's Leicester City u-turn

Following the Zalaegerzegi friendly on Saturday evening, Cifuentes confirmed what most City fans dreaded or hoped he would not. The 43-year-old "liked what he saw" from Coady, his captain on the day.

This could mean two things for Coady's Rangers switch. Firstly, the transfer is off because Cifuentes rates him. Alternatively, City may be attempting to secure a higher fee.
