Previous claims surrounding Leicester City Football Club had the Foxes potentially making a move for a Queens Park Rangers standout. However, former QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes, now at LCFC, is apparently unlikely to be able to sign the west London baller for the East Midlands outfit. Although the very promising player in question is not directly linked with the King Power outfit by the main sports media outlets, speculation exists.

City require another incoming striker, or two, so these types of forwards will be connected with the Leicestershire side. Younger and relatively inexpensive professionals are chiefly spoken about regarding the Filbert Way team because of their Profit and Sustainability restrictions, along with general financial troubles. Nevertheless, it seems as though one Rs possibility can be crossed off the list. Who is this mystery man? Would he be a good signing for Leicester? And why is this an unforeseeable acquisition?

Jamie Vardy's exit has, predictably, brought up all kinds of problems at the King Power. Replacing the irreplaceable is the order of the summer. You can see for yourselves how well Leicester are managing that insurmountable task.

Nonetheless, someone has to play up top for the Foxes - even if that means Patson Daka leading the line. Yet that scenario isn't as bad as you would imagine for the upcoming season. That's because Daka did OK in the Championship last time.

The Zambia international also netted twice in the Karpaty Lviv friendly on Friday. But relying on him isn't seemingly going to get LCFC where they wish to be. So who's being targeted?

Hearsay concerning Callum Wilson and Patrick Bamford appears to be unsubstantiated right now. Similarly, only chatter connects Rayan Kolli. Even that potentially innovative and suitable signing feels improbable:

"The 20-year-old [Kolli] was handed his senior debut by Cifuentes but, EFL Analysis’ Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey believes that a reunion is unlikely.

'QPR like him. They’re rating him really high. I think it’d be very, very difficult for Leicester to get him out.'"
