Ex-Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is said to be in talks to sign for this big club. But the team may not be what or where you expected the former England international to go. In addition to the side he might join, Vardy is an option, or last resort, for Manchester United. All will be revealed as we talk transfer rumours of Foxes past and present.

Is this Legendary Fox the last resort for Manchester United this summer?

Man Utd are linked with at least five strikers during this offseason period. Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Moise Kean of Fiorentina (one of the East Midlands team's few confirmed friendly match opponents) are supposedly on the Red Devils' wishlist.

Furthermore, a few less rates options are apparently listed among the northern England side's shortlist. One is ex-Everton man Dominic Calvert-Lewin. United may also look to fomrer Newcastle United attacker Callum Wilson. Both are injury-plagued yet talented goalscorers.

However it is surprising, or even shocking, to see how low the modern MUFC have stooped there. But Vardy is another possibility for the (so-called) big six outfit; the Englishman would arguably be a better punt than his fellow countrymen.

Although 'Vards' might not perhaps be heading to Man United because another suitor is seemingly winning the chase for the 38-year-old veteran. On Monday it was claimed that Rangers had held talks with Vardy or his representatives.

Football Insider sugggest the Scottish Premiership side have actually "held preliminary talks" about capturing the famous and prolific centre forward. Many people believe Vardy would thrive in Scotland, and I'm one of them.

Though I still think Vards can do it in the English Premier League. Gers boss Russell Martin refused to comment when asked about a potential transfer:

"I'm not going to give you an answer on that."
