Soon-to-be superstar Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu has been omitted from the weekly WhoScored standout Team of the English Football League Championship. That decision or discarding transpired despite the Ghana international scoring a wonder goal in the East Midlands outfit's clash with Ipswich Town at King Power Stadium during the past weekend.

However, a pair of tier two wingmen actually outscored the LCFC star, so I suppose this is a justifiable selection. The omission was technically done automatically via an algorithm, as opposed to a human unselecting the Fox. Although, some members of Leicester's Blue Army fan base will surely raise an eyebrow upon hearing the news due to Fatawu's heroics against he Tractor Boys on Saturday.

In addition to a wingman from Midlands rivals Coventry City being involved in the dream XI, a Hull City player was also added. Though, two of Fatawu's Foxes teammates were included in the supposedly standout C'ship side selected by statistics as well as form. So, who are the two mystery City men? And why was Fatawu disregarded in a way?

Leicester City star Abdul Fatawu was not included in the Championship Team of Week, but a couple of other Foxes were involved

I can actually drop the bombshell, so to speak, that Fatawu is the only Leicester player in WhoScored's Championship Line-up of the Season. Yet he wasn't incorporated for matches over the previous seven days.

The Foxes who made the group were attacker Jordan Ayew and No.10 Bobby De Cordova-Reid. Ayew was rated at '8.4' by the outlet. While De Cordova-Reid was given a score of 8.

I would say that the two deserve their respective inclusions. It is amazing to see City turn a corner. But many people would have presumably chosen Fatawu. Nonetheless, clearly Mohamed Belloumi and Ephron Mason-Clark had 'better games' overall.
