We have an interesting story today (Friday, November 14) for the Blue Army's reading pleasure. The piece concerns a highly rated (he is or was at King Power Stadium, at least), former Leicester City No.1 goalkeeper Mads Hermansen. It is now claimed that the once Denmark Under-16s, 17s, 18s, 19s and U21s stopper may actually exit from his new club during the January transfer window.

Hermansen joined West Ham United over the summer. The general consensus among Leicester's fan base was reluctance to let the very promising goalie go. Although cashing in before a hard season back in the English Football League Championship was preferable to many. Though it hasn't worked out for the now 25-year-old at London Stadium.

Reports now suggest that the ex-Fox could indeed leave the Hammers soon enough. We ask, is a transfer back to the East Midlands likely with City's financial troubles and Jakub Stolarczyk (albeit currently injured) the new first-choice?

Could Mads Hermansen make Leicester City comeback if he eventually departs West Ham United?

First of all, WHUFC didn't get a bad deal at all when negotiating for Hermansen: £15 million. Although that number could (have) reportedly climb with activated add-ons. I don't think that scenario is likely now.

That's because neither Graham Potter and his successor in East London, Nuno Espírito Santo, seemed to favour the 'keeper. Conceding 11 in your first four fixtures won't endear a goalkeeper to their new supporters.

Alphonse Areola consequently returned between the sticks and never looked back. Hermansen now finds himself the subject of speculation. Brian Riemer, manager of the Danish National Team is concerned at his player's plight as well.

"The news may stun some fans, with the goalkeeper’s future now suddenly uncertain despite his short time at the club."

West Ham will ostensibly consider 'cutting their losses'. I can't see Hermansen being bought by LCFC; a returning loan could be ideal if Stolarczyk is sidelined for a while.
