On Monday afternoon, two injury updates can be reported for Leicester City Football Club. One of the pieces of news the Foxes received was positive, although a double-edged injury report in nature. Meanwhile the other information to assess is more worrying and could well affect LCFC transfer business. Or, at least a previously predicted outgoing professional will now probably remain on Filbert Way.
One injured City defender has apparently been ruled out of action until almost next year. While another Fox, who was more recently hurt, has been given a more promising prognosis from physios and doctors at King Power Stadium. Will we see the soon-to-be revealed centre back before 2026? Could the international still leave this summer? And what's happening with the unnamed left back?
When will Victor Kristiansen return for the Foxes?
Good news Kristiansen fans (there must be some somewhere!?), your favourite Leicester defender who never lets the side down is OK. In all seriousness, Foxes of Leicester is relieved that the Dane isn't sidelined. We don't want to see anybody suffer, of course.
"But, thankfully, it does not seem like Kristiansen suffered a serious issue, and so will be able to travel to Austria with the rest of the group on Wednesday."LCFC Live
However, I'll admit that our happiness mainly derives from the fact that he can still be sold if he's healthy. Sunderland and one of City's Midlands rivals in Nottingham Forest are reportedly hunting the Foxes full back.
Injured Leicester City CB Harry Souttar said to be out of action until next year
Sadly, Souttar doesn't appear to have been as fortunate as his once again Foxes teammate. The 26-year-old tore his achilles in December 2024 whilst on loan with Sheffield United.
And that painful and debilitating problem could keep the big Aussie on the treatment table for an entire year or more. That's according to Leicester Mercury.
"Harry Souttar is also in the building, but is further away from featuring. After an Achilles tear last December, it’s not expected that he will be ready to play until close to the end of the year."
This will obviously mean Souttar is incredibly unlikely to depart the King Power over the current offseason. He was formerly forecasted to exit Leicestershire.
