Leicester City looked dreadful on the road at the weekend. Ipswich Town were there for the taking, as one of the two remaining teams without a win in the Premier League this season.

However, the Foxes were not cunning enough at Portman Road. In truth, they looked stale for most of the game and it didn't seem like the players were under any plan to beat the fellow promoted side.

Had it not been for a late Jordan Ayew equaliser, things could have looked really ugly for Leicester City. In fact, the summer signing might be the reason why Steve Cooper is still in the job.

According to a claim by Football Insider, Steve Cooper might have been sacked if Ipswich beat Leicester at the weekend. Even after Ayew's equaliser, Cooper is believed to be "in the firing line."

Leicester are pretty tight-lipped about their business operations and decision making. This has been to fans' detriment over the years and it will continue to be the case with Steve Cooper's sack decision.

Understandably, Steve Cooper might be given more leeway considering he is new. In fact, the draw against Ipswich was only his tenth league game in charge of the Foxes.

However, no matter which way you look at it, Steve Cooper simply must improve on the performances of Leicester. He is treading on very thin ice, so he needs to pick that winning momentum from October back up.
