Today (Saturday, September 13), we round up three Leicester City stories for the Blue Army faithful. First of all, it's our favourite son: Jamie Vardy. A Serie A journalist has certainly annoyed Vards even though the LCFC legend has only been in Italy for a short while. But why was the ex-England international upset or perturbed or unsettled after a seemingly standard question from a reporter who must be regretting everything right now?!
Second of all, we have an Aaron Ramsey update for you. The information emerged via the attacking midfielder's parent club, Burnley. Scott Parker, the former Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Newcastle United player, is now the Clarets gaffer. He has revealed the reasons for allowing the talent to drop down a division and feature for the currently flying Foxes. The loan signing may well end up as a coup. How did Leicester get Ramsey?
Meanwhile, and third on our list for today, an ex-City boss is now back in game. Steve Cooper left King Power Stadium back in November 2024 after being sacked. Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy was the unsuitable replacement for the once Nottingham Forest manager. Though Cooper presently has a new home.
Ex-Leicester City head coach Steve Cooper back in management
Cooper is now at Brøndby IF. The 'Danish giants' sacked Frederik Birk last week, with the 45-year-old incoming. Foxes of Leicester believe Cooper should have been afforded more time at LCFC.
How Leicester secured Aaron Ramsey
Expectations at Turf Moor this summer were that Ramsey would be given a Premier League opportunity. He wasn't. It appears that the arrival of Florentino Luis meant the 22-year-old was surplus to requirements.
"Explaining why, Parker told the Burnley Express: “It was probably just game time."
Journalist annoys Jamie Vardy
Read this response from Vardy and try to tell me he's not going to succeed at Cremonese:
"During his press conference, Vardy was asked whether he is still motivated to perform at the highest level despite being in the latter stages of his career. He replied: "You must be one of the doubters. You're one that I'll have to prove wrong.
"For me age is just a number. As long as my legs are doing exactly what they used to and still feel as fresh as they do then I will carry on."
Vardy continued: "At the moment there are no signs of them slowing down so I'll keep going and I will be giving my all for this club.
"I will learn Italian, but [for now] it is not a problem: football has its own language, with the ball."
