Leicester could almost field a full XI with unavailable players

It's currently that time of year when Premier League and Championship squads begin to suffer with a loss of important as well as lesser personnel due to a plethora of problems. First of all, injury issues are now mounting; some are more significant than others, as I previously indicated. One or two LCFC players are now suffering reoccurring problems - a footballer's worst nightmare.

Suspensions can also harm a team at this stage: you have an accumulation of yellow cards for one point. Not to mention tiring and testing games with tough tackling and tempers flaring. This naturally leads to further problems with discipline and availability. Luckily Leicester City have not sustained too many of these avoidable absences. Maybe the Foxes are attempting to curtail red cards and
finally master the dark arts, as it were.

At present, the Africa Cup of Nations is underway too. Of course, City have lost Patson Daka to the competition over the previous couple of weeks. Although the Zambia National Team representative was not sorely missed, he is a preferred starting striker to having the underwhelming Jordan Ayew up front.

Leicester City close to having full lineup when counting up Foxes head coach Marti Cifuentes cannot (or won't) call upon to play Sheffield United

Leicester are at United's Bramall Lane on New Year's Day. If City mean business - these are the games which must be won! The Blades are in 17th place in the English Football League Championship table right now.

Though the complexion of Cifuentes' Foxes lineup could be slightly different to what may be expected. There is even a rumour that Jake Evans is on the verge of being included in some capacity. Ooh!

However, the following stars might not be involved in South Yorkshire for differing reasons:

Boubakary Soumare, Victor Kristiansen, Harry Souttar, Aaron Ramsey, Hamza Choudhury, Jannik Vestergaard, Patson Daka, Julian Carranza and Harry Winks.

"If all nine of the above are unavailable, Marti Cifuentes will have to turn to academy players. Even if Jake Evans is recalled to the squad, there would still be two gaps to be filled on the bench."
