Here at the website, we are eagerly anticipating the return of the Championship. The international break broke up the momentum. If Leicester City weren't in as good a position as they are, we probably would be dreading the tier two restart. Nevertheless, the Foxes happen to have an exceptional squad for this level, by all appearances. It is steadier progress than under Enzo Maresca, yet the end goal is equally achievable.

If LCFC manager Marti Cifuentes had already found, selected and offered stability to a No.9, City would probably be flying. Irrespective, positivity has taken over from the negativity surrounding two Premier League relegations in two years. Evidently, the King Power side are expected to end up among the division's top six teams. I'd say that's a particularly safe bet. But with whom exactly?

Former English top flight midfielder and Championship pundit and expert Lee Hendrie reveals his expectations

Before we get to what I would describe as the fundamentals of Hendrie's predictions, I'll explain his so-called 'wildcard pick'. The one-time Aston Villa and Birmingham City man, amongst many other sides, believes Preston North End are likely for the Playoffs. He's right, the Lilywhites are a bit of a pleasant surprise.

Leicester City expected to be among league's top six - but which clubs will join them?

While LCFC are placed in the group, Hendrie omits to mention where he thinks the teams will be precisely positioned, annoyingly and strangely. Well done, Lee!

Anyway, the four joining City aside from Preston are as follows: Coventry City, Middlesbrough, Ipswich Town and Southampton. The 48-year-old asserts that Cov made a 'flying start'. Personally, I don't consider them objectively better than Leicester.

"Middlesbrough I think will certainly be in the thick of things this season with Rob Edwards.

“Leicester have really got going as well since Martí Cifuentes has gone in there.

“I still feel that Southampton will come from out of that pack for sure."

It was interesting to hear Hendrie suggest that the Saints will revive their season. Of the Foxes, he says Marti Cifuentes 'really got them going'.
