Leicester expected to keep Jordan James for season amid recall rumour

I am happy to put my neck on the line (though this is not a particularly hot take) and say that Jordan James is the Player of the Season at Leicester City Football Club at present. He is also arguably our preeminent star, certainly in a consistent sense. Although, I have also tipped Abdul Fatawu to potentially rise to the top of the game with hard work and concentration. James, meanwhile, definitely belongs in the Premier League; as do the Foxes, in my view.

If you weren't aware, James has definitely been LCFC's best and significantly standout loanee during this campaign. I don't think many members of the Blue Army fan base would disagree with that sentiment. However, he is only a temporary Fox at this very moment in time. It has been claimed that the East Midlands outfit can take advantage of an 'option to buy' within the midfield dynamo's Leicester contract.

That eventuality must be pursued quickly before his parent club, Stade Rennais F.C. (a club who are widely known as Rennes) decide that they would prefer to retain James's services. The Ligue 1 team could attempt to renege on any proposal and employ high-powered lawyers in order to attempt to evade the aforementioned agreement.

Unfortunately a rumour is swirling around the King Power which is actually more worrying. It may possibly be extremely harmful to City's English Football League Championship Playoff chances should it transpire - if that unrealistic scenario remains realistic. Surely James would rather be here, yet the Red and Blacks might perhaps try to get him back in January. God knows that would be a disaster on Filbert Way!

Leicester City should be able to keep Jordan James for entire season as recall rumour gathers pace

Nevertheless, a promising update emerged from Leicester Mercury today. Let's hear what Jordan Blackwell made of Marti Cifuentes' hopeful James remarks:

"Marti Cifuentes is confident that Jordan James will be a Leicester City player for the full season and that he won’t be pinched back by parent club Rennes."
