For a while there, Leicester fans were worrying that their transfer business would never get going, just as the faithful did in other seasons when only one late arrival in Wout Faes transpired. Without wishing to upset City's Blue Army fan base by raking up the Belgian's situation; which seemed to be one of the pre-seasons and situations that set Leicester on their very downward spiral.

Obviously, the summer before that when Patson Daka, Boubakary Soumare and Jannik Vestergaard were bought was possibly the pinpointed capitulation from the LCFC board. Nevertheless, acquisitions are beginning to occur, even if only via free transfer methods; that measure and loans are Leicester's go-to approaches these days!

Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, a veteran who will potentially challenge Jakub Stolarczyk, is now officially a Leicester player. So too is Conor Chaplin, the attacking midfielder who shone for Ipswich in the EFL Championship, as well as League One, and represents a significant capture for the East Midlands side as they look to climb the table.

The LE2 team are also said to be interested in a plethora of other players too. Tobias Lauritsen, Laurent Tolaj, Luke Chambers, Tommy Watson and Ryan Oné are among the reported potential recruits, but the club is bordering on desperate to strengthen in certain areas.

Danny Ings and John Souttar to Leicester City?

For example, having no senior striker whom the fans recognise is shocking, to be frank! Danny Ings is the veteran, free signing the King Power outfit have lined up, and according to The Telegraph, he could be joining any day now with an agreement ostensibly in place.

However time is ticking; one or two supporters also do not consider the once England international appropriate to lead the LCFC line at his age. Ings' goalscoring record was once exceptional, though it is now faltering somewhat despite not yet becoming nonexistent.

Another younger, proven centre forward is seemingly required to act as the true attacking talisman. In the meantime, the City defence could well be 'strengthened', but there is considerable concern around John Souttar's suitability on Filbert Way due to poor ratings from the Rangers and Scotland support.

Souttar does, of course, have a brother in Leicestershire too: the understanding is that one sibling would arrive while the other, Harry, would be sold in that instance. Football League World suggests this duo of reported Leicester targets remain firmly on the radar, and are forecast to join before this month concludes.
