Leicester City are entering into must-win territory near the foot of the Championship table.

Sheffield Wednesday away should have been the perfect setting for Gary Rowett to pick up a rare victory as Foxes, but even the division's basement side showed signs of life against the crisis-ridden Foxes, in a spirited 1-1 draw.

Now, it's back to home soil - where Rowett did guide Leicester to a 2-0 win over Bristol City - as Swansea City come to town.

Could the 52-year-old be prepared to spring a surprise on the Swans, and start Jeremy Monga down the flanks?

After all, adding in the lively 16-year-old could be just the injection of life that's needed to spur the Midlands giants to a desperately needed win.

Could Monga be given a chance to start on Saturday?

With Stephy Mavididi putting in a lifeless showing at Hillsborough, too, as the Owls' defence stood unexpectedly firm, perhaps Monga is deserving of a start when the visitors from Wales come to the King Power.

He offered very little, himself, from his 11-minute cameo, with only eight touches of the ball amassed, but he has shown in flashes this season a daringness in the forward areas that has often been foreign to Leicester's game.

One goal and two assists have fallen into his back pocket, from only seven Championship starts for the campaign, so Rowett might be tempted to chuck him into the deep-end of the starting XI, to catch Vitor Matos cold.

Ultimately, Monga is far from the finished product, though, as he is only 16 years of age, but his rawness in attack is sometimes a breath of fresh air, compared to the sterile attacking displays usually served up.

He would, in a way, benefit from Leicester succumbing to the drop, as League One might well prove to be a perfect environment for him to thrive in, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the demanding Championship.

Amazingly, Leicester could have another Monga in the making in this equally exciting starlet, who has already bagged a League One strike, during his fledgling career.

Leicester has another Monga in the making

Relegation would be devastating for a club of Leicester's stature, as the Foxes - who have lifted the FA Cup and Premier League in recent memory - fall to the pits of third-tier football, with their long-term future dangerously precarious.

In a way, though, it would also gift the Midlands side a great opportunity to test out some exceptional youngsters more regularly, with Jake Evans no doubt benefitting from his club's demise.

The 17-year-old has stood out as an explosive, direct winger for both the U18s and U21s, for many years now, as evidenced in his sizeable 36 goal contributions, starring in both age brackets.

Yet, his senior career at the King Power hasn't taken off, with only four senior appearances next to his name.

Relegation, as bad as it would be for the long-term health of the club, might actually allow Evans to blossom into a Monga-style presence in the main set-up.

Indeed, out on loan with Northampton Town this season, the teenage forward has shone in spurts, with his first ever senior goal coming his way over the Easter Weekend, versus Wigan Athletic.

He won't be an instant savour, as he has struggled at points to make his name known at the Cobblers.

But, he is certainly a youth option Leicester will consider next season, as a reset could be on the cards at the King Power.
