Leicester PL title-winner slams PSR as fairytales like his can't happen

One ex-Fox is having his say over the Premier League's rules and regulations. And bosses of the English top flight will not like this one little bit. And that sentiment especially applies due to the retired winger being a coach at an EPL club at the moment. Anything considered to be back talk or what the division's leaders would describe as subversive behaviour will seemingly be covertly dealt with in one way or the other. Maybe that equals penalties of some description or financial repercussions. Just look at Leicester City Football Club for a prime example.

I didn't use to believe that the people who run the PL would actively pursue vendettas on the scale they do. Although, after watching the Premier League and the Championship powers-that-be target the East Midlanders after their Profit and Sustainability hiccups I do. LCFC were made an example of; or, at least, top flight leaders attempted to make City owners and their team suffer. The fact that The King Power International Group won a lawsuit against the PL won't have gone unnoticed either!

We typically consider Marc Albrighton a mild-mannered and quiet type of high profile footballer. And he actually is a measured and polite guy. He was when I briefly met him, anyway. But the Leicester title-winner has unavoidably slammed PSRs for one main reason. The laws essentially stop fairytales such as that of 2016 from ever happening again, in his opinion. But what did the former Aston Villa player say exactly?

Leicester City title-winner criticises PSRs because fairytale like his won't be repeated

According to a recent report, Albrighton claimed PSRs "need sorting out". The 35-year-old revealed how special he considers his time at LCFC by referencing the Premier League triumph.

Albrighton is asked about the fabled Foxes season every single day. But he asserts that it is "scandalous" that clubs aren't given the chance to do repeat similar feats:

"To take that opportunity away from potentially happening to other clubs is scandalous really.

"I just think the PSR issue really needs sorting out. It's so frustrating for clubs like Villa that have got the money but can't they spend it. Then they are having to sell other players too - it's making a mess."
