The chances of Leicester City being in the Premier League next season have increased significantly of late. That is due to crucial results and, generally, performances improving or becoming more potent. Though there is also a technically intangible factor from a typically trustworthy source which bodes well for the Foxes in their pursuit of PL survival. So, how did the east Midlands outfit's possible safeguarding get a huge boost over this past fortnight? And can the LCFC support actually believe or even trust this claim?

The King Power side's two extremely positive outcomes (one against Bournemouth at the beginning of October and recent triumph over Southampton) occurred amid other optimistic elements. In some supporters' views, highly rated winger Abdul Fatawu hasn't been seen enough in the Leicestershire team's starting lineup yet. And that verdict is correct in our view too. However, we may be about to see much more of the Ghana international; the potential new role could be a particularly devastating one indeed. So how will Foxes manager Steve Cooper probably deploy the 20-year-old in the division from now on? And what does this alteration possibly mean for other teammates' respective playing time?

Abdul Fatawu impresses to such a degree that it is difficult for Steve Cooper to dismiss his presence in the Leicester City XI - Victor Kristiansen, Ricardo Pereira watch out!

Fatawu sent the Blue Army in St. Mary's Stadium's away section wild with his efforts during the past weekend. LCFC completed a simply stunning comeback versus Southampton to increase their chances of survival, and the Ghanaian was instrumental.

In fact, Fatawu contributed to all three City goals, which is remarkable in itself. What is even more noteworthy is that the Tamale, Ghana-born man played as an attacking right back upon entry for Kristiansen. And Cooper implied that his player can feasibly continue in that berth in future:

"Definitely [Fatawu can play that role again], yes."

Possibility of LCFC surviving difficult campaign increases

While players such as Jamie Vardy, Facundo Buonanotte, Jordan Ayew and Fatawu continue to improve and contribute positively, other aspects will please the Leicestershire fan base. One facet might perhaps be Opta's latest projections, which are comparably more favourable for the Foxes than previously:

"Opta’s latest projections give City a 28 per cent chance of being relegated. Meanwhile, their data believes Southampton have a 96% likelihood of returning to the Championship."
