Elsewhere, when appraising the contemporary squad, the word "deplorable" occupies the mind. Consequently, real change is desperately needed from 'Top to bottom'; a phrase actually coined by yours truly in March 2025. While sparing the diligent canteen, staff, cleaners and stewards is necessary, the sentiment on rebuild and reset remains absolute: the hierarchy requires a total purge.

To bring this attempt at legitimate levity (believe it or not) full circle, while the Foxes are down - they are certainly not out. This relegation represents a golden opportunity to rebuild a once fine organisation: surgically removing "bad apples" on the pitch and ridding the club of counterproductive individuals.

Although a change in ownership remains unlikely, a 'rebrand with brains' offers a reprieve from disaster. With one of the country's most promising youth setups ready to bolster the ranks from Seagrave, the foundation for resurrection exists. Things are not currently looking up, but they cannot worsen, provided that a rigorous internal culture of financial fair play is finally introduced to steady the ship.
