The Leicester City exits we have all expected and predicted from day one of the current summer are possibly now almost upon us. Of course, the most high profile departure there ever could be from Filbert Way already rook place. Jamie Vardy, the renowned goalscorer and Leicestershire hero, left on a free. However, the City great is still without a home for next season at the moment.
But this piece concerns the other well-known and highly regarded Foxes who might be heading out of the King Power doors. One fan favourite in particular could be signing with a notable club from England which has fallen hard in the modern era. A Leicester star is said to be in talks with Manchester United regarding a prospect transfer.
Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi apparently in talks with Manchester United about signing for the new season and beyond
Four or five years ago, when Ndidi was the most prolific midfielder at dispossession in the Premier League, big six clubs were supposedly interested in recruiting him. That interest appeared to wane from the biggest and richest around as Ndidi's impact in games simultaneously dwindled.
Now City are no longer an English top flight side. Again. And Man United are in virtual free fall on and off the field of play. So the two might actually be well-matched at present, especially if Ndidi wishes to remain in the EPL.
Evidently Utd require mobile ball-winners in the mixer, as I assess the contemporary, unimaginative Red Devils roster. The ostensible £9 million asking price (by way of a relegation release clause) is probably just about fair upon second considerations.
So what is claimed about Ndidi and his possible Man Utd suitors?
"United are not alone in their pursuit of Ndidi, with journalist Ben Jacobs reporting that Everton and two other unnamed Premier League teams have also made approaches."Yahoo! Sports
As you can see, the suggestion is that discussions between the two parties have already transpired. This would be a pleasantly surprising switch for the 28-year-old.
