Leicester City have lost one of thier most admirable professionals this week. Wilfred Ndidi is about to finalise his switch to Besiktas in Turkey. However, this most recent transfer enables the Foxes to potentially capture an 18-goal Championship star of their own.

Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has left the East Midlands to join Turkish club Besiktas. The Nigerian supposedly enjoyed a lucrative move to mainland Europe; Foxes of Leicester wish him well. But, more importantly for LCFC's Blue Army fan base, this most recent transfer means City should now be free and primed to make their own signings.

And a very versatile midfielder who netted 18 goals in the Championship last season, as well as six assists, is ostensibly a significant target at King Power Stadium. This particular experienced and skilled footballer would arguably be a fine acquisition for the Leicestershire team. A missing puzzle piece, even.

So, who is this man of mystery whom Leicester and a lot of other sides want? Will he likely come to LE2? And do we advocate a free transfer in this instance?

Leicester City lose Wilfred Ndidi in most recent transfer but that means Foxes can and possibly will sign Josh Brownhill who provided Championship 24-goal involvements last season

Brownhill's production last year for Burnley was phenomenal. LCFC could definitely use an injection of goal-threat and metal in the middle of the park in that respect.

Clearly underrated ballers like the 29-year-old are often the best way to do it. His lower-profile-than-merited means he could fly under bigger outfits' radars.

In addition to that factor, Brownhill won't be on huge comparative wages to other senior City professional. He was said to be on £45k-per-week at Turf Moor.

Compare that figure to Conor Coady's previous £85k or Ndidi's apparent weekly £75k and you can see where I'm coming from. Though beating Celtic to the signing may be difficult:

"As you would expect, he has been linked with a host of clubs, with West Ham, Celtic and Leeds believed to be among his admirers. So, many will rightly wonder why Leicester have a chance of his signature. But it has been reported that they are very keen on the player, and, unlike the others, they may be more willing to offer him a long-term contract, as Brownhill turns 30 in December. Plus, Leicester will be able to make him a key player straight away, which is something that those rivalling him for his signature may not offer."
