A star Leicester City duo were rated so highly at the weekend that the English Football League Championship's official website has cited them as top performers. In fact, a quintet of stand out tier two players were named following the weekend's action. After the Foxes beat Sheffield Wednesday, this LCFC pair were hailed by media and in WhoScored's rankings. But which mystery City stars are we referring to? Were they justifiably showered with praise and analysis post-game? That's right, you guessed it! Bilal El Khannouss was one of the outstanding LCFC men. The Morocco international's four key passes, two assists along with five shots earned an 8.60 WS rating.

Meanwhile Jordan Ayew was included amongst the extraordinary ballers from the opening matches too. That may be a surprise to some in the Blue Army. Though I thought the Ghanaian tried hard and meant well. He didn't add to the goal contributions, but came close to facilitating.

As you can see from the embedded X post below, a strong side was named subsequent to statistical examination ending. Radek Vítek, the on loan Bristol City goalkeeper courtesy of Manchester United, lines up in the net.

Millwall's Tristan Crama was chosen as the right back. Dael Fry scored and made the lineup. Jack Stephens is in too. Alfie Doughty rounds off the defence.

Sorba Thomas and Ross McCrorie are on the wings. Scott Twine and El Khannouss are in the middle. Joined by Aune Heggebø and Ayew up front.

That's not a bad XI, I must say! Let's hope City continue to be represented in the selection throughout the season.
