If we can trust emerging transfer rumours now that winter is coming, Leicester City are planning to play the game of loans, or possibly purchases. You see, at the moment LCFC, who are owned and ran by The King Power International Group, are in what's described as a financially restrictive situation. There is no embargo in place or directly reported restrictions.

However, other claims suggest City have an agreement with the English Football League in order to balance their books to become organised and subsequently land within parameters once again. What is the truth there? Well, we are unsure; what we do know is what has already taken place.

The Foxes' recruitment department only loaned in players this summer; albeit quality loanees. Nevertheless, that tepid business is a strong indication that Leicester were unable, or not permitted to, pay for squad additions. Why do I convey all this information as well as insight? Basically, because Leicester ostensibly want to sign a midfielder during the January window. Stade Rennais' Glen Kamara is currently linked. What's the suggestion?

The East Midlands outfit will supposedly rival fellow Championship club Ipswich Town to acquire Kamara soon. If you weren't aware, the 29-year-old previously competed in the English Football League before.

Back in 2023/24, Kamara played for Leeds United. The Rennes man featured in 40 C'ship matches; notching three assists.

The Ligue 1 side are said to be 'keen' to offload the Finland international at the first available opportunity. A previous move to Saudi Arabian team Al-Shabab could have become permanent for Kamara. Though a deal fell through.

"They report that Kamara is very much out of the picture at the French club. They had been hoping to sell him permanently to Saudi Arabia after a loan spell with Al-Shabab."

Reportedly, the French side initially outlaid €10million to capture Kamara. They are apparently 'cutting their losses'. The player is available for as little as €3m. Yet I'd imagine someone such as Oliver Skipp must leave first.
