Leicester City are reportedly already making moves in order to sign their top target. The Premier League forward will likely improve options and offers experience at King Power Stadium. But there are feelings amongst Blue Army supporters that the Foxes could arguably do better. Though LCFC are certainly active in the transfer market this summer, just as the fan base desired. Will Jordan Ayew leave south London for Leicestershire?

In addition to going all out for the Crystal Palace winger, Leicester also have other prospects on the horizon. First of all, Lens striker Elye Wahi is on the wishlist if we trust reporting. Second of all is defensive midfielder Pierre Ekwah of Sunderland. Are City still to improve multiple areas of the squad prior to 2024/25 kicking off soon?

Leicester City linked with two new players in busy offseason which is set to continue at pace prior to the upcoming campaign beginning in mid-August

Let's look at Elye Wahi to start. The Frenchman was previously connected with a switch to the English capital with Chelsea. Speculation which probably supports the 21-year-old's calibre. Although, you never know with the scattergun-owning Blues these days.

What we do know is that Wahi has impressed with French outfit Lens. The Évry-Courcouronnes, France-born man bagged 12 goal involvements in 27 outings for the French side last season, according to Google stats.

As previously mentioned, Wahi is pretty much the latest name to be referenced in the media as wanted by Leicester. So stay with Foxes of Leicester for expert opinions and news explanations. West Ham United are another reported admirer of the English top-flight hopeful who has FoL's vote.

Another Frenchman is also on City's list: Pierre Ekwah. The Sunderland star is said to be akin to Harry Winks, if you want a Foxes comparison. Steve Cooper is apparently a fan of the 22-year-old. Nonetheless, LCFC are fairly well-stocked in that department so I am unsure if anything will transpire here to be fair. Furthermore, the Black Cats will request a high fee for their asset, if claims are accurate.

Foxes bosses serious about Jordan Ayew

Ayew improved in 2023/24, there is no doubt about that. Yet, as a member of the Leicester faithful, I have reservations over the prospective transfer.

We have seen many other veteran EPL footballers come to City over the years to varying degrees of success. I'm not convinced Ayew shall end up in the better category. Nevertheless, rumours are heating up:

"Leicester City make formal bid for Jordan Ayew. Crystal Palace listening to offers and considering selling Ayew this summer. Understand #LCFC have made the #CPFC man a top target"
