Rating every single Leicester signing of summer 2024
Even with the 2024/25 Premier League stage at an infancy, the time is right to give a first early appraisal of Leicester City's most recent transfers. Apart from youngsters who are brought in for potential, we will rate every single Foxes signing of summer 2024. As not much time has gone by, some decent seeming additions could begin to falter. Whereas one or two who have started poorly or nervously may, of course, come into their own soon enough. Therefore everything can naturally change, but this assessment is a gauge of LCFC's current capacity to engineer top-flight survival.
So, which new King Power stars have stood out amongst the pack for the right and wrong reasons? There is actually a possibility that further acquisitions can occur in spite of England's transfer window being shut. All will be explained with City linked to an international goalscorer. Is there a chance of more quality arriving, or are the Blue Army's hopes being cruelly fuelled?
New Foxes signing during inactive market?
Yusuf Yazici is a 27-year-old midfielder. In fact, you could describe this successful player as an attacking protagonist to some degree. And he's been productive in that role: he's a National Team threat in front of the net himself, and has many goal involvements in the Super Lig as well as eminent European competition.
Experience is a theme of the former LOSC Lille, Trabzonspor and CSKA Moscow star's career. He appears to have been influential and triumphant at every club overall. However, Yazici now finds himself without a team whatsoever. As a free agent, he is available, in the news and ostensibly widely admired.
A couple of EPL sides are interested in acquiring Yazici's services, including Leicester and Everton. The pair seem to be jointly linked to every target the other respectively covets. Nevertheless, the versatile footballer has reportedly been offered to Manchester United too. We shall see.
Leicester City's summer business individually scored out of 10
Despite what some people say, Oliver Skipp is one of LCFC's more prudential and wise signings. He will mesh with, and cover, Harry Winks and Wilfred Ndidi. 7.5/10
The jury will be out on Bilal El Khannouss for a while. Though there is much talent waiting to let loose. 7/10 (for now)
Caleb Okoli only gets 6.5/10 at the moment. He is likely to have a tough season but is committed.
Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid respectively also score 6.5. Do we really need both?
I would give the stirring Facundo Buonanotte 9.5 - but he's only loaned so it's an 8.5/10.
Odsonne Edouard is the type of striker needed, he could be instrumental in avoiding relegation. 8/10
