Leicester City supporters who travelled to East Yorkshire to watch their team play Hull City on Tuesday night were not rewarded. As a matter of fact, those loyal fans who travelled away to support the LCFC side were left tortured, not entertained and, in my opinion, embarrassed by the performance and selection against Hull City. Once more, spectators and online commenters pointed to Patson Daka's inclusion as a mistake.

As I indicated, Marti Cifuentes also strangely chose to drop at least one player who should have been in the starting lineup, in Aaron Ramsey. Others didn't want to see Hamza Choudhury replace captain Ricardo Pereira at right back either. Essentially those who held that view were proven right as the Bangladesh National Team representative wasn't on top form whilst playing out of position once again.

Although it is understandable that the Portuguese is being protected somewhat after his latest debilitating injury, he appears needed. Anyway, the former Queens Park Rangers head coach believed a rotational approach was the best policy. Turns out he was probably incorrect in that assessment. But which King Power standouts stood out for the wrong reasons? Allow us to detail the stars who supposedly let the side down versus the Tigers.

Firstly, the City No.1; Jakub Stolarczyk received a rating of '4' via Leicester Mercury. I noticed some wobbly moments from the Pole as well. I'd stick with him for now, though.

Choudhury and Luke Thomas were also given 4s. I'd argue that both should be omitted from the XI. Wout Faes (5) is another who can be very good, or totally counterproductive.

"Patson Daka: A difficult evening in which he was almost totally ineffective, even as someone to stretch the game. He lacked strength when chasing loose balls and sometimes tripped himself up, while his touch was lacking at times too. Could he have shown more conviction with his big chance? It was a superb block by Ajayi. 3"

Boubakary Soumare's display (4) was, worryingly, described as 'bizarre'. Daka was attributed a shameful 3 for his 'difficult evening'. He was indeed absolutely 'ineffective' and seemingly ineffectual to boot!
