There could soon be more bad news on the way for LCFC regarding their excellent youth set-up. Everybody knows that the Foxes are currently one of the most dysfunctional clubs in England. Financial and rule breaking issues have set the East Midlands team backwards no end. Mismanagement and even neglecence are involved in the long-term. City executives also appear to be indecisive or constantly making the wrong decisions.

The Leicester fan base would also feel a lot better if there were some communication, explanation, or even an apology from those who run the outfit. Wishful thinking! The only positive element that many of us in the supporter group are hanging on to is the exceptional starlets coming through on Filbert Way. Even that aspect is now said to be under threat. Now a top prospect has reportedly rejected a new contract offer from the King Power club.

Stars from the Foxes' friendly vs Peterborough United

Wanya Marcal, Jeremy Monga and Stephy Mavididi got people off their seats as City defeated the Posh 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Silko Thomas notched a wonderful solo goal on the day as well.

But it was young Louis Page (16) who scored a brace and grabbed some justified attention and headlines after the practice match. Although, on Monday a claim emerged which will disappoint the Leicester fan base.

You can watch Page's goals by clicking here. That's if you are yet to see them or want to relive the action from the Leicestershire side's first friendly of 2025/26.

Unfortunately for LCFC, Football Insider sources believe the midfielder refused to sign his maiden professional contract with the Foxes. The outlet suggest Page is highly regarded at Seagrave, and City wish for him to remain with them past his upcoming 17th birthday. Hopefully this gets resolved fast.
