It’s that time of the year again when every fan’s age-old wait to see his team hit the ground is finally over.

With sheen on the kits, optimism in the camps, well-oiled players and the expensive new signings of Harry Maguire and Vicente Iborra, Leicester City are about to get back on the football field too as they look to prove that the last season was but a mere blip, and that a successful year awaits. The pre-season seems a nice time to give everyone a glimpse, perhaps?

Here’s the complete pre-season fixture list:

West Bromwich Albion (July 19): 11.00 BST, Hong Kong Stadium

Luton Town (July 26): 19.45 BST, Kenilworth Road

MK Dons (July 28): 19.45 BST, Stadium MK

Wolves (July 29): 15.00 BST, Molineux Stadium

Generally, a lot of the clubs tend to take this little period a bit too lightly, a mistake that can a cost a bit too heavily, come the Premier League.

Remember, the more you test yourself in the summer, the better chance you stand of showing up when it matters, or else, you could still be on a holiday as and when the whistle is blown in August.

Thankfully for Leicester City, Craig Shakespeare doesn’t seem like a man who wants to leave any stone unturned, and he’s definitely in no mood to sit back and enjoy the summer sun as his team travel to China to face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League Asia Trophy before coming back home to play five more games, three of them in the space of four days. Talk about putting in a shift.
