Leicester v Chelsea, FA Cup quarter-final: Expected Foxes XI
London club Chelsea journey to King Power Stadium for an FA Cup quarter-final contest versus East Midlanders Leicester City. Here’s FoL’s expected Foxes XI.
One point and one position separate Leicester City and Chelsea in the Premier League, with the Foxes edging their third-place rivals. But this isn’t that competition – it’s the most prestigious cup in English football away from the division, the FA Cup.
However, a win for either side surely hands them impetus to finish ahead of the other. With a place in the semi-finals of the current tournament up for grabs as well as incentive for confidence in Champions League qualification – Sunday’s clash is actually more important than some probably realised!
Form, predicted Leicester City XI
Despite Leicester’s fragile lead over their counterparts in the top-flight, the Blues are beginning to become a true force once again. They have great prospects, as well as starting to conduct some serious business off the field during Frank Lampard’s tenure.
The Pensioners have won their two restarted premiership games. While Brendan Rodgers‘ outfit have drawn both against mediocre sides.
Foxes of Leicester expect as strong a City line-up as possible. That is without the slightly underperforming class act, Youri Tielemans; Dennis Praet is my shout for this particular outing.
Kasper Schmeichel; James Justin, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Ben Chilwell; Wilfred Ndidi; Praet, James Maddison; Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez; and Jamie Vardy.
The big game kicks-off at 4pm BST, at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium. Sadly supporters aren’t permitted into the ground for matches due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic; though all fixtures are available on television.
