Thankfully for Leicester City as well as their supporters in this intense chase for Champions League football, striker Jamie Vardy will not be banned.

For Arsenal and Leicester City to eventually draw on Tuesday evening was a fair result, I suppose. Clearly the Gunners could have had a hat full of goals in the first half; but then again, that is an obvious sign of a not fully cohesive team – missing easy chances.

Then as the second half progressed and the Foxes’ one-man advantage increased, they too had ample opportunities to score more than the solitary one apiece. Joyously for the Blue Army faithful, striker Jamie Vardy is back in form and finished another comfortably.

Relief for star obvious boost for Leicester City

Many experts, including former Liverpool player and current Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, believed Vardy’s ‘challenge’ on Shkodran Mustafi looked nasty. Those were his exact words. Some observers also questioned why Arsenal‘s Eddie Nketiah’s ‘tackle’ deserved a red card if Vardy’s didn’t.

To be fair, the latter’s was a tangle in which he flicked his legs out in frustration at Mustafi’s treatment. I feel Vardy knew what he was doing, yet didn’t mean to do any damage to the player. Maybe I’m being overly supportively. Anyway, Nketiah’s suspension was literally just upheld so that chapter is closed.

However, according to Daily Mail, the ex-England forward will not receive any retrospective punishment. And with entry into Europe dominating everyone associated with the King Power club’s thoughts, it is naturally very encouraging news to to have your best goalscorer and influential personality available. The Golden Boot is coming home!

Bournemouth are the Foxes‘ next opponents in the premiership. The Cherries drew with Tottenham Hotspur at home in their latest clash. A significant improvement for Eddie Howe’s side, as they lost the previous five successively. Which is perfect timing for Leicester City’s visit, typically.
