Liverpool target Leicester starlet for surprise transfer
As Leicester City await the challenge of Manchester United at King Power Stadium, it appears Liverpool want to sign Foxes starlet, Harvey Barnes.
With the arrival of Manchester United in Leicestershire, Brendan Rodgers’ team will be absolutely focussed on attaining their rightful entry into the Champions League for 2020/21. Leicester City should have already secured it, but worryingly poor form since the Premier League restart meant a scrap with the Red Devils along with Chelsea for the two remaining spots.
Although, the business of footballers never ceases, even with momentous matches afoot. Consequently, James Maddison has reportedly, finally signed his new Foxes contract. An automatic boost for the squad; regardless of the playmaker being unavailable for the crunch United clash.
Leicester City transfer rumours
There are a few transfer rumours floating around Filbert Way, involving possible incoming targets as well as prospective outgoing players.
Injured left-back Ben Chilwell is the subject of three apparent clubs’ interest: Man Utd, Man City and more likely suitor, the Blues. Maddison is also occasionally mentioned as ‘wanted’ by some of the larger outfits, just as fellow sidelined star Ricardo Pereira is.
However, the latest surprising link has been made with champions Liverpool and Leicester City. If you believe the weekend’s transfer gossip, and Daily Mail, Foxes winger Harvey Barnes is being targeted for a transfer by the Reds.
The 22-year-old, now first team regular is being tracked by Jurgen Klopp because the German requires extra “depth“. According to the outlet, a “hefty” price-tag will now be placed on the King Power asset.
