Leicester and Liverpool are chasing a Greek international
The fear of losing Ben Chilwell to Chelsea or Manchester United has seemingly got to Leicester City, as they eye up Olympiakos left-back Kostas Tsimikas.
If this latest transfer rumour concerning the hypothetical domino effect implications of Ben Chilwell moving from Leicester City to a Premier League rival is accurate, surely we can intuitively guess that the left-back‘s much discussed potential switch is increasing in likelihood.
On the other hand, the Foxes’ reported interest in Greek international Kostas Tsimikas of Olympiakos could be a complete falsehood. Concocted by bored sports journalists in the absence anything concrete to report. Who knows?
With Luke Thomas’s excellent emergence, it is unlikely that the East Midlanders will sign Tsimikas. The Development Squad graduate came into the fold following injuries to Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs. Although Thomas made two errors that were cruelly punished away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his overall play especially while on the attack was superb. His temperament and ability to deal with a swift rise to the seniors was also noticeable.
Leicester City apparently want Kostas Tsimikas
According to Daily Mail, the King power side are chasing Tsimikas of the Red-Whites, and are joined by premiership champions Liverpool. The Reds are also after Norwich City’s Jamal Lewis: an apparent £10 million bid was declined this week. Greece’s player would also potentially be a back-up to the Scotsman Andy Robertson, says the outlet.
Leicester are said to have asked about Tsimikas, per the Mail, which also credits Everton and Chelsea with eyeing-up the defender.
