The transfer window has been closed for over a week now, but there is still a week left for Leicester City to sign any of the players without a club.

This summer, Leicester City added three players to their roaster. The first being Belgium international Timothy Castagne from Atalanta before Cengiz Under joined up with international team-mate, Caglar Soyuncu, at Leicester.

Their final addition came from France, with Wesley Fofana departing Saint-Etienne for King Power Stadium to add further quality to an already impressive back four.

However, the domestic transfer window is open until October 16 and is dubbed the Deadline Day Two. For the Foxes, this means further transfers can happen within the English side’s, but it seems very unlikely any will be brought in.

Should Leicester City sign free agents?

There are a number of quality players currently without a club. From Mario Mandzukik to Jack Wilshere. But would any of them improve Brendan Rodgers’ side?

The answer is no. Rodgers would have wanted his squad in place and settled for this season before the window closed.

Within the current crop of players available, there is a World Cup 2018 finalist, a Premier League winner and a former-Manchester United striker.

Once the 2019/20 season closed, Rodgers confirmed he wanted to add more creativity to his side, something obviously accomplished in Under, but adding another striker would have certainly been on the agenda.

In Mandzukic, he is on the lookout for a new club after his spell in Qatar came to an end. The former-Juventus featured largely for the Italian side, scoring 10 goals in all competitions in his final season. However, with the Croatian striker being 34 now, it is unlikely he will muster a move in one of the top divisions, like Edinson Cavani, who recently signed for Manchester United.

Overall, Rodgers will be settled with his squad and won’t be a fan of adding ageing players to his young group of players.
