SC Braga have reportedly received a positive COVID-19 test for one of their players, ahead of an important UEL clash with Leicester City.

Following two consecutive Europa League victories and a couple of successive Premier League wins, the mood in the Leicester City camp and among Blue Army fans is buoyant as well as optimistic.

Next up for the Foxes is Portuguese outfit SC Braga at King Power Stadium, back in the UEL. Brendan Rodgers has literally masterminded some outstanding away triumphs in the English top-flight this season: Manchester City, Arsenalcreating a bit of history in the process – and Leeds United among the scalps.

However, in spite of defeating Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk at home, questions remain over the Northern Irishman’s capacity to introduce a viable in-game plan B. In addition to whether this fine yet youthful Leicester team can demolish the low block of defensive-minded opposition while playing on Filbert Way.

Leicester City’s opponents have positive COVID-19 test

Thursday night’s match versus Braga probably won’t be that type of outing for the Foxes, as the Portugal side will be more forthright in their approach.

Although, one of their players has received a positive test for COVID-19. Sport Witness carries a report that “important” midfielder Fransergio is the athlete in question. Fransergio is apparently asymptomatic, along with now being in isolation.

All other staff and personnel have tested negative, and the former was not in contact with his team-mates over the weekend so the fixture on November 5 is set to go ahead.
