There are reports emerging from France which state that Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana may have suffered an injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were added to a growing list of clubs Leicester City have triumphed against this season at the weekend.

Wolves are a very solid, multidimensional team that are watched over by an astute manager in Nuno Espirito Santo. However, that wasn’t enough for the west Midlands outfit to pick up any points in this latest encounter between the two.

Although, the game was not completely dominated by the Foxes, who scored and missed a penalty through the legendary Jamie Vardy. Santo’s men had their chances; a wonderful save from goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel went along way to ensuring victory.

Another player who secured the three points for Brendan Rodgers, was new signing Wesley Fofana. Since joining towards the end of transfer window, the Frenchman has enjoyed a ridiculously good start to his English top-flight career.

Unfortunately, after the international break the highly-rated starlet may require a period on the sidelines.

Sport Witness carries a report from France – where the player is supposed to meet up with Under-21 national colleagues – which states that Fofana has sustained a knee injury.

The extent of the issue is currently unknown, and will apparently be assessed by French medical staff. Let’s hope the 19-year-old is fit and ready to continue his startlingly impressive form when the King Power outfit face Liverpool.

Teams with larger, more proficient rosters are more inclined to welcome the proposal than clubs with less options and funding.
